In January 2018, the Astana Travel Agency was founded in the United States, bringing together the interests of the world’s travel industry, travel writers and travel professionals.
The Astana name is synonymous with a combination of the words “travel” and “airline”, and in recent years has become synonymous with the country and its people.
Nowadays, the brand is also known for its award-winning travel programs, which have won numerous awards, including the 2019 Gold Award for Travel Writing and the 2018 Best Travel Program at Travel.com.
Astana is the only airline in the world to have a name that combines “airport” and the word “travel”, and it has also been named the most popular airline in France by Travel.fr.
Its name is also part of the International Passenger Name (IPN) system, which is used to categorise airline tickets.
This system has been in place since 1985, and allows airlines to classify their tickets in a number of categories, such as economy, economy-class, economy, premium economy, business class, and special class.
In 2017, the name of the AstraZeneca subsidiary that was acquired by Astana was changed to Astra Zeneca Travel.
In 2019, the company changed its name to Astana.
In 2020, Astana expanded its business to include its own airline service in the U.S. The name Astra has also appeared in many popular magazines, including Vanity Fair, Esquire, Vanity Fair Traveler and the New York Times Travel Guide.
In 2018, Astra Travel changed its slogan from “We’ll Never Travel Alone” to “You’re Never Alone”.
In 2017 it was named “Best Travel Agency in the World”.
