The NFL Players Association filed a lawsuit Thursday in federal court to ask a federal judge to block the league’s proposed ban on players from using medical travel agents.

The union filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

The league has yet to respond to the lawsuit.

In the suit, the union alleges that the NFL Players Assn.

is violating federal antitrust law by not complying with a court order that would require it to give players a full accounting of the costs of medical travel and the impact it has on their medical costs.

The NFLPA said the league has failed to disclose how it plans to pay for the cost of medical and dental expenses for players.

The lawsuit also says the NFLPA has not provided the public with information about the costs, how they are allocated, or how the money is being spent.
